Between sea and mountains

Komic winery is located in Collio, in the northeastern part of Friuli Venezia Giulia. A hilly area that runs along the border between Italy and Slovenia, between the Adriatic Sea and the Julian Alps.

The soul of Collio 

In Collio, the vine has its roots in a unique and extraordinary soil, which here we simply call "Ponca". It is a stratified soil composed of marl and sandstone rich in minerals, elements and microelements. On Ponca, vines give less grapes but of higher quality. The final expression of our work in the vineyard is a wine with a unique mineral and sapid flavor.
